SDS recognizes the connection between racism, poverty, war, imperialism etc. One of the groups that emerged was SDS 1962: SDS Convention at Port Huron, Michigan - AY 1965-66: SDS chapter organized at Valley College by small group Valley State SDS organized one of the 1st campus demonstrations against recruiters for Dow Chemical, manufacturer of napalm.
